The Instrumentalists enhance the Liturgy at weekend Masses with and without the choirs. Various opportunities exist for acoustic instrumental music. Frequently choir anthems and Liturgical responses call for instrumental supplements. Of particular interest to the Cathedral Music program are woodwinds, strings, brass, harp, and acoustic guitar.
Instrumentalist must have proficiency and training in their instrument. They should have the ability to sight-read simple passages. Simple transposition skills are helpful but not required.
